Registration opens at 6:30 AM

1-Kilometer (.63 miles) starts at: 11:00 am.

3-Kilometer (1.9 miles) starts at: 9:30 AM

The 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) starts at: 8:00 AM

Entry Fee:

1) $30.00 entry fee ( There will be a $10.00 fee for each additional event - up to 3 events totaling $50.00)
2) Athletes and spectators FREE prior to 8:30am
3) Spectators are $10.00 per car AFTER 8:30am

*Out-of-state residents add $5.00 to entry fee

Early Deadline

Entries must be received by June 23rd, 2017.
*Late entry and race day entries add $5.00 to entry fee*
Late entries will be accepted on the day of the swim until 10:30 a.m.


ELIGIBILITY


OPEN to ALL swimmers of all ages BUT they must be capable of swimming unassisted.

We will award medals for adults in 5 year increments beginning at age 18.

We will award youth swimmers in standard USA Swimming age groups by 2 year increments.

ORDER OF EVENTS & SCHEDULE


  • 5 Kilometer Swim
    (Check-in closes: 7:30am. Pre-race Meeting: 7:45 am. Event start: 8:00am. Awards presentation: 10:45am.)

    The 5K swim is 2 loops around a clockwise course, keeping all turn buoys to your right shoulder. The first loop us 2K and the second loop is 3K. For the 2K loop the swimmers start in the water just off the beach and will swim across the lake to the south shore, where they turn right and swim west along the south shore. At the corner of the lake the swimmers turn right and swim along the west shore, past the dam. Then turn right and swim along the north shore past the start/finish line.  For the 3K loop the swimmers swim southeast along the outside of the roped off swim area, and across the  lake to the south shore. At the south shore, the swimmers turn sharply right along the southern shore. The swimmers take a slight left along the curve of the shoreline, then swim west along the southern shore.  At the corner of the lake the swimmers turn right and swim along the west shore, past the dam. Then turn right and swim along the north shore to the start/finish line.  At the finish buoy the swimmers turn turn left and head for the finish chute.

  • 3 Kilometer Swim
    (Check-in closes: 9:00 am. Pre-race Meeting: 9:20am. Event start: 9:30 am. Awards presentation: 11:45am.)

    The K swim is 1 loops around a clockwise course, keeping all turn buoys to your right shoulder. The swimmers will start just off the beach and swim southeast along the outside of the roped off swim area, and across the  lake to the south shore. At the south shore, the swimmers turn sharply right along the southern shore. The swimmers take a slight left along the curve of the shoreline, then swim west along the southern shore.  At the corner of the lake the swimmers turn right and swim along the west shore, past the dam. Then turn right and swim along the north shore to the start/finish line.  At the finish buoy the swimmers turn turn left and head for the finish chute.

  • 1 Kilometer Swim
    (Check-in: 10:30am. Pre-race Meeting: 10:40am. Event start: 11:00 am. Awards presentation: 12 pm.)

    The 1K swim is a clockwise out and back course, keeping all turn buoys to your right shoulder. The swimmers will start just off the beach and swim slightly off the northern  shore of the lake to a buoy in the north west corner of the lake. The swimmers will turn right and swim along the north shore to the start/finish line.  At the finish buoy the swimmers turn turn left and head for the finish chute.


RULES

Age as of July 8th, 2017 will determine your age group. Individual event adult age groups increasing in 5 year increments. Please complete the entry information, including registration number, date of birth and club affiliation (if applicable).

All swimmers who have not completed the course by 12:45 PM, will be disqualified and escorted off the course. Swimmers may enter multiple events BUT at their own risk of missing the start times for the next event.
