Georgia State Games Soccer Championships 2017
History & Background:
Celebrating its 28th anniversary, the Georgia State Games will be offering Soccer. After a decade on hiatus, the Georgia State Games have added the sport of soccer back into its list of championships. It will join 45+ others sports being offered in 2017. The Georgia State Games Summer Championships is THE statewide sports festival for all Georgians. The Georgia State Games is a state agency whose mission is to help develop, promote, operate and educate sports, physical fitness and health for all Georgians.

Player Level: Recreational Registered Youth Players
Roster Sizes Limits:
For 2017, there is a limit of 16 Teams per Age Group per Gender.
National Championship Advancement:
The gold, silver and bronze medalists teams per age group per gender all qualify to advance to the National State Games of America (SGA). This national Olympic-style sports festival is held every two years and includes over 40+ sports. In 2015, over 15,000 athletes competed and had 40,000+ people at Opening Ceremonies! In 2017, SGA will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan the first weekend of August.
The GOLD medal teams will also have their 2017 SGA Team Registration fee will be taken care of by the Georgia Games for attending.

There is NO housing requirements for attending this tournament. You may stay at any hotel that you wish.

This will be a cash tournament and pay will be more than the normal recreational level tournaments.
Various venders will be on-site.
Neither the Georgia Games, Tournament Committee,, any vendors, the Tournament Sponsors, or their agents and representatives are responsible for any expenses incurred by any team in the event the tournament is cancelled in whole or part, or in the event games are discontinued or cancelled due to inclement weather or adverse field conditions. In the event that the tournament is completely cancelled due to weather or other natural cause, teams will receive a partial refund of their entry fee. The actual amount will be determined once tournament expenses and other charges have been deducted but will be at least 50% of the entry fee. If the tournament has commenced, and a team has played at least one of its scheduled games, no refunds will be issued.
