Since 1990, volunteers have selflessly donated their spare time in order to make the Georgia Games the successful program that it is. While helping the Georgia Games achieve its mission of keeping Georgians physically active, volunteers make great contributions to amateur sports and to the well-being of Georgians.

The Games operates with interns who run the entire operation from A to Z at the cost of an educational experience. They are responsible for assisting all planning and marketing aspects for every event throughout the summer and are on site at nearly every sport venue to ensure things run smoothly.

• Found 1989
• Serves 10,000 athletes annually in Championships.
• Served over 2.1 million Georgians since inception in all programs
• Attracted & serviced over $1.25 billion in economic impact to state over years
• Athletes come from 139 of the 159 Georgia Counties
• 45 championships sports annually offered.
• Serves the following:
• Youngest Participant = 3 years old
• Oldest Participant = 97 years old
• Recreational participants, Elite athletes & All levels in between
• Olympic & Pro Athletes
• Paralympic & Adaptive Programs & Athletes
• 1,000 annual general volunteers
• 45 volunteer sports committees
• 35 annual college interns
• over 1,500 college students have graduated college due to our intern program
• Lost all State Funding
• Georgia State Games need to raise funding
