State Games of America
The State Games of America (SGA) is the premier program of the National Congress of State Games. Georgia State Games is a member of the National Congress of State Games.
If you are a Georgia resident and you won gold, silver or bronze medal in the 2024 or 2025 Georgia Games Championships, you are eligible to compete at the 2026 SGA.

FAQ’s
The State Games of America is an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Games medal winners (gold, silver, bronze) from across the nation. There are currently 31 states conducting or organizing statewide sports festivals known as State Games.
The event is hosted event is hosted every two years. The next event will be hosted in 2026.
The 2026 State Games of America will be hosted in Penn St. University at State College, PA.
The number of sports hosted in a State Games competition varies depending on the host city. In 2026, over 40+ sports will be offered and the SGA Committee hopes to continue to offer these numbers of sports.
